John Sorrell

John Sorrell is a Managing Director and Financial Advisor at Bangerter Financial Services, Inc. With over 39 years of experience in the investment and financial services industry, John has educated thousands of financial advisors and investors on a range of topics from real estate, mutual funds, credit markets, and practice management.

Prior to joining Bangerter Financial Services, Inc., John served as Senior VicePresident for Bluerock Capital Markets and was responsible for the distribution of Bluerock real estate solutions to financial advisors in Northern California, Nevada, and Hawaii. John started his career with alternative investments at Dividend Capital (now Ares Capital Corp), a sponsor in the private REIT space. In this role, he educated advisors and investors on the highly specialized IRC section 1031 and 721 UPREIT exchanges. John is excited to transition from a sponsor
wholesaler role to that of a financial advisor where he may assist investors with passive investments. Before moving to Franklin, Tennessee, John and his wife, Lori, spent most of their spare time leading a large youth group and as foster parents in the San Francisco Bay Area.
